Polyurethane (PU) Crack Injection Specialist to Prevent Water Leakage

Worried about your water leakages? Then it’s the right time to call Direct Inject to help you out. We specialise in polyurethane injection to prevent water leakages in cracks, cavities, voids, joints and gaskets. We have carried out multiple projects and are the best in the business. Our highly skilled craftsmen would ensure that all your needs would be completed on time. Using polyurethane foam injection, we can seal cracks and eliminate water and air leaks from foundation walls and provide an effective permanent solution to leaking cracks.

Polyurethane foam injection is ideal for filling wide cracks on concrete, masonry surfaces. The polyurethane foams can also be used to fill voids and sealing around pipes. Polyurethane foam injection is the ideal approach to stop your wall leakage. When the foam is injected, it will expand and fill the crack to prevent future water leakage.

The water will remain on the outside, not allowing the water to penetrate the wall. The product range varies from a convenient one-material resin for small water sealing jobs to unique robust multivariate systems to successfully stop the water from entering your walls.

What is Polyurethane (PU) Injection?

PU injection, also known as polyurethane injection, is a waterproofing method that utilises an expanding injected polyurethane to stop the water flowing through and voids or cracks commonly in concrete. This can successfully address your water leakage issues, mainly when applied on the underside of the leakage area or the lower floor ceilings where the leak takes place. Polyurethane sets staggeringly quick and can hold up even against the wettest surfaces. These types of cracks usually are smaller. These types of cracks are generally smaller, and polyurethane is better than concrete that has marginally shifted. This versatile substance will seal quite fast and firmly and keep the water away.

Properties of Polyurethane (PU) –

  • They are fluid resin that undergoes a chemical transformation from a liquid to a solid.
  • As they have a short curing time, they are perfect for sealing active leaks.
  • They have low viscosity to seal minute cracks after curing on moisture easily.
  • It fixes and holds its flexibility, allowing any change in the structure design while keeping the voids sealed.

Where can Polyurethane Crack injections be used-

For Residential Properties Repairs-

  • PU injections are an affordable method to repair the leakages entering your house, particularly the water coming in from the outside.
  • They can also be injected into the rooftops to prevent further roof leakage and prevent damage to your property.

For Commercial Properties Repairs-

  • PU injection can also be utilised to repair factory or warehouse flooring, which can be damaged after a long and tedious utilisation of heavy machinery and equipment, e.g. forklifts.
  • PU injections can also be applied in numerous spaces where there is an apparent leak.
  • They are commonly utilised in areas such as drainage, piping, and roofing’s.
  • Like its residential applications, you can utilise it to fix any damage to your properties caused by rain or leakages.

Advantages of using a Polyurethane crack injection for repairs-

  • They react with water which helps to stop heavy leakages quickly
  • They can handle both- cold and hot climates
  • Good adhesion to the substrate
  • They can withstand high hydrostatic pressures
  • Forms a stable foam when cured
  • Can be applied with an electric or pneumatic injection pump.
  • Resin when cured becomes non-toxic.
  • They are suitable for use even when they come in contact with potable water.

Precautions to be considered when using Polyurethane crack injection for repairs-

  • Resins are extremely water-sensitive, so unless you want to use them, keep them away from water.
  • Avoid direct skin contact.
  • Store the product before processing it for at least 12 hours at 5°C and 25°C and less than 50% relative humidity
  • Visible surface leaks and cracks should be sealed with fast setting Polyurethane to prevent injection resin from coming out of the crack
  • Before injecting, the cracks should be cleared with clean water to remove dust, dirt, salts, etc. from the crack
  • The injection pumps used should be flushed and tools, and cleaned immediately after use, before the resin sets.

Using a Polyurethane foam injection for crack repairs is highly recommended for preventing water leakages, and they are much more efficient than any other crack repair kit available in store. Here, only professionals are appointed to ensure that your walls, foundations, masonry crack surfaces remain leak proof.
